Funding Drive for Bastrop County Disaster Recovery Center

After FEMA closed the Bastrop Disaster Recovery Center November 18th, many survivors worried their tragic losses and recovery needs are quietly being forgotten.  The answer is NO.  A community-focused, community-supported long term Bastrop County Disaster Recovery Center is opening at 1091 Hwy 71 W. Bastrop, TX.

The new community-directed ‘One Stop’ center will offer survivor services, relief resources, and case management, along with volunteer opportunities, fire safety prevention and preparedness assistance for everyone. <more details>   A 501c3 nonprofit, the center receives no government funds.  All Services are made possible by donations of volunteer time and financial support from individuals and organizations who want to help others survive the largest fire in Texas history, and start rebuilding homes and lives.
