  Research study asks your personal accounts from the Bastrop Fires of 2011   



More than $20 million in federal Community Development grants will assist with rebuilding homes and infrastructure (roads, culverts, etc.) in the Bastrop County fire zone.

This funding, from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, will be administered by the Texas General Land Office.

Disability Barrier Removal Grants

The new Amy Young Barrier Removal Program can pay for home modifications to remove physical access barriers and hazards for disabled individuals in Central Texas low-income households. This nonprofit service provides one-time grants for construction services to improve accessibility and eliminate hazardous conditions for persons with disabilities. The Amy Young Program is administered by St. Vincent de Paul South Central Regional Office, operating from the Bastrop County Recovery Center, 1091 Hwy 71 West, Bastrop, Texas 78602.

BCLTRT-Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team

Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team

The Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team (BCLTRT) helps wildfire survivors with recovery assistance. The Executive Board and Committees examine all resources available and connect the client with non profit organizations and other local resources needed to complete recovery. Assistance is available for  individuals and families with unmet needs and is coordinated using a process of case management, including the development of a recovery plan based on personal responsibility and accountability.
