Help and resources listed on this site, plus much more, are available for fire survivors and county residents. 

Call or visit the Recovery Center for current information and assistance.

Building materials and supplies, appliances, household furnishings 
are received, stored, and distributed at Recovery Center Warehouse

FREE HELP DEALING WITH FEMA, INSURANCE COMPANIES, ETC:  (Verified Dec 2011)

The State Bar has a toll-free disaster legal hotline at (800) 504-7030 to assist the public with basic legal questions such as replacing lost documents, insurance, landlord-tenant issues, and consumer protection.

uphelp.org is a non-profit formed by people who lost their houses to fires, they offer free help in dealing with insurance companies.  A detailed "complete" home inventory spreadsheet downloadable at http://uphelp.org/library/resource/prepare-and-protect is a major help in reconstructing your own home inventory. They also have sample letters to insurance companies, a discussion forum, and personal help.
